September 6, 2025: Falaq Foundation organized a charitable lunch program in Saidpur, Nilphamari, where more than fifty poor and underprivileged people were served quality meals. The event took place on Saturday (September 6) at Sardar Convention Center in Jasim Bazar area, on the outskirts of the town.
The guests were welcomed with respect at the beginning of the program. Later, officials from Saidpur Upazila Administration, teachers, businessmen, journalists, imams, and local dignitaries joined in serving the food. The menu included polao, chicken roast, kebab, egg, lentils, salad, yogurt, and soft drinks. In total, 52 people attended the event.
Before the meal, a short discussion was held, presided over by journalist Jasim Uddin, Chairman of Falaq Foundation. The welcome speech was delivered by Mahmud Jaman, General Secretary of the Board of Trustees. Mufti Md. Rezaul Karim, Assistant Teacher of Saidpur Lions School and College, also spoke at the program. The event concluded with a special prayer led by Allama Mawlana Md. Abdur Rauf, Sheikhul Hadith of Darul Uloom Ruhul Islam Madrasa, Saidpur.
Notable guests included Dr. Atiar Rahman, Principal of Sirajganj Government College; Shahid Ishraq, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Saidpur Upazila; Abdul Wadud, Officer-in-Charge of Saidpur Police Station; Mahfuzar Alam, Inspector of the Traffic Department; Md. Anisur Rahman, Assistant Professor of Nilphamari Government College; Md. Mahfuzar Rahman, Upazila Cooperative Officer; Nur Mohammad, Upazila Social Services Officer; businessman Azharul Sarkar Rana; and lecturer Shafiqul Islam, among others.
General Secretary Mahmud Jaman said:
“The well-off in society enjoy good meals every day or quite often, but many underprivileged people may not get such food even once in six months. Today’s program was arranged especially for them.”
