Falaq Foundation is a non-profit, non-political, charitable organization, established in 2024 in Saidpur Town of Bangladesh, and registered under the Trusts Act of 1882. The word ‘Falaq’ is derived from Surah Al-Falaq in the Holy Qur’an, revered as a supplication for protection from evil. ‘Falaq’ means “dawn” or “daybreak.” Just as light dispels darkness, Falaq Foundation works to remove social disharmony and establish peace and prosperity.
We envision a beautiful and prosperous world where knowledge is power, service is the bond of unity, and Islamic values form the foundation of morality.
We aim to establish a knowledge-based society through education and research that will help nurture the hidden talents of every individual. At the same time, we will undertake various humanitarian and social initiatives to strengthen feelings of love, compassion, and cooperation among people. Ultimately, based on Islamic values, we will build an ethical society grounded in honesty, justice, and accountability, which will help bring our vision to reality, in shaa Allah.
1. Haqqullah (Rights of Allah): Working with the intention to earn Allah’s pleasure, while upholding Islamic ethics, trustworthiness, and piety, forms the foundation of all our actions. 2. Haqqul Ibad (Rights of Humanity): We are fully committed to protecting human welfare and dignity, and to promoting justice, compassion, and service. 3. Networking (Relationships and Cooperation): Building cooperation and partnerships with individuals and organizations based on mutual trust and respect, and working on a broad scale, is our strategy.
The Falaq Foundation (Trust) is governed by the Board of Trustees (BoT), which serves as its highest policy-making and regulatory authority. The Board holds ultimate responsibility for upholding the Foundation’s vision, mission, and core values. It ensures that Falaq Foundation operates with transparency, accountability, and full compliance with legal and ethical standards. The Board of Trustees comprises seven members who collectively provide strategic leadership and oversight.
The Shariah Advisory Board of the Falaq Foundation provides collective oversight and expert guidance to ensure that all activities of the Foundation comply with Shariah principles. The Board plays a vital role in maintaining the religious integrity of the Foundation’s programs, particularly in areas such as Zakat, Waqf, Sadaqah, and ethical governance.
